Within the framework of the Russia-Africa summit, the project of the Roscongress Foundation Business Priority held a pitch session of innovative Russian projects with great potential for implementation on both the African and world markets. Seven high-tech startups with good prospects in African markets presented their presentations to potential investors and customers.

The developments of the pitch session participants and other innovative companies were also presented at the Territory exhibition by innovation, which worked throughout the days of the Forum. In particular, the company ViNTERA.TV presented a multimedia platform that provides access to hundreds of free online TV channels.

AGRATEC BIO and Bionovatik have demonstrated innovative products to accelerate and regulate plant growth. And Health Source is a decentralized drinking water supply system using unique automatic equipment of its own design.

Among the exhibitors there are also three projects that have already received Business Priority status: the unique Kalancha technology for gas-powder fire extinguishing of tanks with oil and oil products; the Oasis project from the Autonomika company, which allows for the geoengineering preparation of habitable plots in desert and arid territories; VRComm company, which will deploy a real shooting range with elements of virtual reality right on the site.

Open Talk

traverser le désert

The discussion was attended by representatives of innovative companies whose technologies are able to provide water to a large part of the world's population.

The international company Watergen has demonstrated a medium-sized apparatus GEN-350, which is capable of producing up to 900 liters of fresh drinking water per day from the air. The same large unit produces up to 5000 liters of water per day. The environmentally friendly, energy-efficient and easy-to-use GENius technology (requires only a power source), developed by the company's specialists, can significantly change the difficult situation with drinking water in Africa.

“Every person in the world from birth has the right to meet the basic need for clean drinking water, regardless of where he lives, skin color or religious beliefs. Our engineering solution makes it real, ”said Michael Rutman, vice president of marketing and sales, Watergen.

Today, Watergen successfully sells its technology in the United States, Mexico, Vietnam, South Africa, Brazil, the Middle East and North Africa, Russia and China. The company collaborates with several governments on emergency supplies of drinking water in emergency situations.

Another innovative project - “Oasis” from the Autonomics company also has good prospects on the African continent. The technology allows for geoengineering training of habitable areas in desert and arid areas. According to the founder of Avtonomics LLC Sergey Dorzhiev, “equipment is the first attempt to use nature-like technical means to combat desertification and land degradation, maintain the ecological frameworks of fragile and unique natural complexes in arid zones”.

The third participant in an open conversation, the Source of Health company presented a decentralized drinking water supply system using unique automatic equipment of its own design. Innovative equipment and technologies make it possible to provide high-quality drinking water to people in places where there is no centralized drinking water supply, and at the same time to eliminate the use of plastic bottles requiring recycling.

Invited experts from JSC Hydroproject Institute - Director for Operations Management and Strategic Development Sergey Machekhin and Head of Foreign Projects Department Vladislav Vasiliev, as well as representatives of African countries praised the presented developments.

The general opinion of those present was expressed by the director of project activities at Kama Flow Evgeny Vasiliev: “Today we were presented with various technical solutions in the field of water technologies. Each of them is unique and can be used to solve specific problems. What unites these technologies is the main thing - an attempt to "expand" a long-standing problem: the impossibility of many people to provide their families with clean drinking water.
